SAIC is seeking an Innovative Solutions Systems Engineer. The Innovative Solutions Systems Engineer develops processes, procedures, and templates to establish the customer's hard problem on-boarding process and shepherd candidate hard problem projects through the process.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manages the customer's hard problem on-boarding process to accelerate innovative and out-of-the-box solutions to assist programs address the significant capability/technology challenges associated with their cutting-edge programs.
- Reviews proposed new hard problem projects and shepherd them through the customer's hard problem on-boarding process. This involves research, outreach, and analysis to understand what other organizations are doing related to the hard problem and determining what course is best for the customer.
- Continuously reviews the customer's hard problem on-boarding process for improvement opportunities to optimize this critical process.
Qualifications
· Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
· Must have bachelor's degree with minimum of nine (9) years of relevant work experience or seven (7) years with master's degree
· Experience working across the NRO
· Proficient skills using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
· Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Interpersonal and communication skills for written reports, group discussion, and oral presentations
Desired Qualifications
· Proficient skills using JIRA and Confluence
· Prior US military and/or IC customer experience
· Knowledge of GEOINT and SIGINT missions
· Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
· Knowledge of cyber security practices and how they might be applied to space
