SAIC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide cybersecurity support to our NOAA Program. The successful candidate possesses ISSO cyber experience ranging from implementing and assessing security controls to performing system monitoring and compliance assessment activities, leading a team of individuals. You will coordinate with program/site leads as well as government staff, users, and mission partners to implement and maintain security controls for systems under your purview to ensure systems achieve and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO). Job Duties/Responsibilities:- Lead and work as part of an integrated team to apply and maintain secure configurations for HPC hardware and software components, including those within virtualized environments, to meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
- Research and evaluate cyber capabilities and new security products against operational requirements and introduce them to systems in alignment with organizational configuration management procedures.
- Deploy and operate cyber infrastructure components in order to achieve and maintain system security requirements.
- Team with system administrators and cyber security staff to conduct vulnerability and STIG scanning, patch management, flaw/deficiency remediation, and system Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) updates.
- Develop and execute security control assessment procedures to verify conformance with control requirements as part of ongoing continuous monitoring and authorization assessment activities.

You will be involved in all aspects of cybersecurity operations and partner with the customer and leading SAIC teammates to maintain an effective security program. The candidate must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision, capable of multitasking and efficiently managing their time, and work closely with the customer decision makers, as you will be the face of SAIC leading the efforts. This position is located remotely, however, some travel will be required monthly / quarterly.
Qualifications
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- BS degree in STEM related field and 9 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with various endpoint security, vulnerability, and enumeration tools (e.g., Tenable Nessus, ACAS, Splunk, ClamAV)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience as an ISSO and writing and maintaining controls
- High level of complex problem solving skills
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
