SAIC is hiring for a Helpdesk Support position onsite in Austin, TX to support the US Army Futures Command program to provide on-site technical guidance to users or customers including troubleshooting and solving issues with end user devices and desktop applications. Supports field operations including staff and customer support, incident resolution, and other support tasks.
NOTE: This position will require potential travel, travel is rare, potentially up to twice a year.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), network connectivity and VPN connectivity
- Respond to technical service hardware requests and break/fix incidents
- Resolve end user questions or problems in the areas of functionality and technical troubleshooting
- Take responsibility for additional follow-up as required to ensure service is fully restored
- Ensures that the day to day field services operations meet SLAs and documents interactions and feedback
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction
- Follows procedures to ensure effective support coordination between IT Service Desk (Tier 1), Tier 2, and Tier 3 resources
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Level I - Associates and two (2)+ years' of related experience; additional 2 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Level II - Bachelors and two (2)+ years' of related experience; additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Knowledge and experience with Windows 10/11
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in a Helpdesk or Desktop Support environment
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
- Must be a current US Citizen
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:
- Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher, such as A+ CE, Network+ CE, CCNA, Security+ CE, etc
- Must be able to obtain Microsoft 365 Administrator certification (MS-102) within 6 months of hire
