SAIC is seeking a Governance Lead to oversee the governance framework for a customer organization; ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices by developing and enforcing procedures; monitoring adherence to organizational guidelines; and advising leadership on governance matters across various business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a governance framework to include a system of rules, practices, and processes that direct and support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Regularly assessing compliance with established governance standards, conducting thorough inspections, identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and implementing corrective actions/process improvements.
- Creating and updating governance policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with the organization's strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with different departments and leadership levels to communicate governance expectations, address concerns, and facilitate buy-in.
- Providing expert advice and support to management/leadership on governance matters, including presenting reports and recommendations.
- Conducting internal audits and reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of governance practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Developing and delivering governance training programs to personnel at all levels to raise awareness and understanding of policies and procedures.
- Generating regular reports on governance performance, including key metrics and trends, to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen(16) years or more of related experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more of related experience.
Desired Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or equivalent experience.
Required Experience:
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Project management and organizational skills
- PMP certified
Desired Experience:
- ITIL certified
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with the required polygraph
