We are looking for a skilled IT professional to serve the role as the NORAD-NORTHCOM (N&NC) IT Enterprise Services (NITES) Service Portfolio Manager, to manage the N&NC Service Portfolio and requests for NITES support from the N&NC staff. This role is critical in ensuring that N&NC has the optimal mix of services to achieve desired outcomes while considering resource allocation and investment levels. The Service Portfolio encompasses all services managed by NITES and third-parties, as well as initiation of new services integral to assuring mission success for this high-demand Combatant Command.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Service Portfolio to ensure alignment with N&NC's strategic objectives and resource capabilities.
- Oversee Requirements and Service Catalog Management, defining, managing, verifying, and validating new or existing IT requirements.
- Document and develop new services while identifying and assessing impacts on existing services based on service improvement recommendations, customer requests, and technical lifecycle requirements.
- Interact directly with N&NC staff, J66 portfolio managers, NITES projects teams and NITES managers to review projects and assess impacts on service transitions and IT operations.
- Categorize service requests as standard or non-standard upon submission and facilitate the Non-Standard Request Analysis Report (NSAR) process for non-standard requests.
- Provide requestors with written status updates on non-standard requests, detailing current status and estimated timelines for progression, ensuring reports are not automated or system-generated.
- Communicate the disposition of new and existing non-standard service requests to requestors and government service owners as needed.
- Schedule, coordinate, and produce a Service Package (SP) for each government-approved non-standard request.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Service Catalogs (software, hardware, services) that provide both customer and technical views.
- Monitor and report on availability and capacity for all offerings in the Service Catalog, ensuring performance thresholds are defined, monitored, and acted upon when exceeded.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in service portfolio management, IT service management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of service management frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyze and categorize service requests and assess impacts on existing services.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in developing and maintaining service catalogs and documentation.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
