SAIC is hiring an Enterprise Architect for an active contract with the FAA. This position is remote and the applicant can reside anywhere within the U.S. but must be able to travel to both the SAIC facilities (Reston, VA and Washington D.C.) and the customer facilities (Washington, D.C. and Atlantic City, NJ) on an as needed basis.
Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system; op. performance analysis; Lifecycle cost analysis; estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA). Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. From an information technology perspective, may be concerned with floor layout, power; cooling, data storage, infrastructure management, backup, monitoring, operating systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation. This position will work as an architect for a product we are delivering as a service to the FAA. This position will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure all components of the solution are configured within the system from design to deployment. The ideal applicant will have the ability to understand the requirements and ensure that they are incorporated into the design of the product. They will also work with the test engineers to ensure all elements have a test plan against each element and model everything within an MBSE model.
Qualifications
Required Education and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or similar field and nine(9) years or more relevant experience; Masters and seven(7) years or more experience.
- Use of Digital Engineering tools (Cameo, DOORS, etc.) and MBSE best practices
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Desired Skills:
- Cloud Certifications (AWS, Google, Azure)
- Experience working with Agile development teams.
- History working with the FAA or DOT
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
