SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician IV in Crane, IN to support the AEA division with electro-mechanical repair support for multiple DoD Systems across all NSWC Divisions.  Systems include ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System (TJS), ALQ-218(V) 2, ALQ-240, ALQ-214, SLQ-32, MK-82, MK-99, I1-B1, P-8A and other military systems.

The person in this position will perform PinPoint and Huntron tasking to include the following skillset: 

  • Use the AN/USM-676 PinPoint IIR In-Circuit Functional Tester.
    • Using a PinPoint Test System to diagnose failed circuit card assemblies (CCA) to a component level.
    • Developing Shop Replaceable Assembly (SRA) diagnostic test routines for the PinPoint Test System.
  • Use the AN/USM-674 Huntron Protrack.
    • Experience using a Huntron Test System to diagnose failed CCAs to a component level.
    • Experience developing SRA diagnostic test routines for the Huntron Test System.
  • Diagnose and maintain both the Pinpoint and Huntron Systems.
  • Work with little supervision on assigned tasking.
  • Communicate with engineers and technicians.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
  • Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
  • Undertakes analyses of data where guidelines are provided.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Associate's Degree in related discipline and 6 years of related experience; OR High School Diploma and 8 years of related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance, Interim Secret clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience with the use of the AN/USM-676 PinPoint IIR In-Circuit Functional Tester.
  • Experience with the use of the AN/USM-674 Huntron Protrack.
  • Ability to diagnose and maintain both the Pinpoint and Huntron Systems.
  • Ability to work with little supervision on assigned tasking.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with engineers and technicians.
  • Ability to work in a lab environment for entire shift.
  • Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans.
