SAIC is seeking candidates for an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Clinician responsible for providing clinical mental health support services (i.e. intake, individual counseling, couples counseling, consultation, assessment of alcohol and substance related disorders) to National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) personnel and contractors.
Develop treatment plans, make assessments and case determinations, conduct individual or group therapy, and provide follow-up after care as required. Assume responsibility for case management and abide by confidentiality regulations. Provide statistical data, as required by specific program guidelines, training, education, and information services. May administer and analyze psychological tests. Contributes as a government consultant in the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization and local community. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
Tasks:
- Provide clinical services to clients either face to face or via telehealth
- Make referrals to licensed mental health professionals in the community when appropriate
- Provide case management and monitoring of community treatment when necessary
- Provide consultation to management regarding mental health issues as well as individual and/or office group dynamics and offer suggestions for resolution
- Provide consolation on mental health issues to NRO entities and offices as needed
- Provide crisis intervention when called upon to do so
- Complete written progress notes following each clinical and/or consultation session and treatment summaries at the conclusion of counseling
- Provide relevant briefings and workshops to the NRO workforce (at least quarterly)
- Identify and secure relevant industry speakers for the speaking engagements and work with administrative assistant to coordinate all aspects of the event
- Facilitate employee support groups
- Support design and implementation of agency wellness programming
- Assist in maintaining EAP lending library of books and publication related to mental health issues
- Collect and report statistical data to management
- Update EAP Clinical SharePoint site/database as needed
- Occasional CONUS travel to alternate NRO sites
Qualifications
Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community or Department of Defense preferred
