SAIC has an opening for a Deputy Program Manager to support the engineering, technical and management support services to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS). This support encompasses a full-range of technical and programmatic support for the Test & Evaluation (T&E) of surface combatant and carrier/large deck Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) combat systems programs to include: AEGIS (Cruiser and Destroyer, United States Navy (USN) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) (carrier and large deck), DDG 1000, FFG (62), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) and US Coast Guard Programs National Security Cutter (NSC) and Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) and Self Defense Test Ship (SDTS). Additional programs requiring T&E support include the Maritime Theater Missile Defense (MTMD) Program, Standard Missile-6 (SM-6), Naval Integrated Fire Control (NIFC), the AN/SPY-6 Advanced Missile Defense Radar (AMDR), directed energy program(s), Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), and test efforts for PEO Integrated Combat Systems (PEO IWS X).
Job Duties:
- Act as the overall deputy lead, supporting the manager and administrator for the effort.
- Assist in directing the efforts of cross-competency teams, including contractors at multiple locations, and serve as a key interface and POC with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and project issues.
- Support the program manager by regularly briefing leadership on program status and milestones.
- Assist in overseeing contractor personnel project operations by aiding in the development of procedures; supporting the planning and directing execution of the contractual, technical, multi-disciplinary engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative support effort; and helping to monitor and report progress.
- Aid in the management of acquisition and employment of project resources and assist in controlling financial and administrative aspects of the project.
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- a High School diploma, or a GED, and thirteen (13) years of relevant program management experience to manage large major programs, systems development, and technology initiatives in support of program initiatives, including the responsibility for managing programs overall cost, schedule, performance and risk, performing oversight of personnel management and security, and applying relevant government policies and guidance in their program management, OR
- a Bachelor's degree, or higher level degree, in a relevant field and nine (9) years of relevant program management experience to manage large major programs, systems development, and technology initiatives in support of program initiatives, including the responsibility for managing programs overall cost, schedule, performance and risk, performing oversight of personnel management and security, and applying relevant government policies and guidance in their program management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA I in Program Management
- Communication and Briefing Skills
- Program Management experience running a large support services contract with subcontractors
- Experience with cost, schedule and performance management as it relates to program execution.
