SAIC has an opening for a Cyber Engineer and will support of the Common Control System (CCS) a software intensive program that will provide simultaneous sortie planning, control, monitoring, and post-mission analysis of multiple unmanned systems (UxS) of either similar or dissimilar types from common software. This will be Hybrid Remote position and will require on site work in our San Diego, CA SAIC office at least one day a week.
Job responsibilities for the Cyber Engineer are performing analysis of cybersecurity directives, policies, and instructions to include, but not limited to:
- Communications Task Orders (CTOs), Fragmentary/Task/Operation Orders (FRAG/TASK/OPORDs), IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) guidance, ACAS and STIG requirements.
- Ensure configuration, asset, remediation, and mitigation management supports vulnerability management efforts within the DODIN.
- Identify and provide guidance on security-relevant configurations for DoD.
- Ensure compliance with DoD vulnerability notification and corrective action process.
- Coordinate vulnerability risk reports and assessments within NIWC PAC as required.
Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree and zero (0) years of related experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required skills:
- Experience with supporting Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution, including the Navy RMF Process Guide (RPG), RMF Steps Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), eMASS Security Plan and artifact generation, eMASS workflows, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 security controls, cybersecurity risk assessment, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) development actions.
- Experience with performing cybersecurity compliance testing using standard tools, including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
- Experience with IT technologies and security, including networking and Linux.
- Experience with cyber hardening, vulnerability management, scanning, assessment, and associated tools.
- Ability to devise and execute a Security Assessment Plan (SAP) in accordance with Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA) risk assessment guidance.
- Ability to work independently and lead the accomplishments of client tasks from inception to completion.
- Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical challenges to technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders.
Clearance requirement:
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
Desired skills:
- Working knowledge of Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) SCA office FAO and NAO.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
