SAIC has an opening for a Cleared American Guard located on Camp Blaz, Guam responsible to provide specialized security expertise in support of Headquarters, United States Marine Corps Installations and Logistics Department (HQMC).
This position is supporting the construction of new facilities aboard Camp Blaz in conjunction with the HQMC. Security expertise includes in-depth knowledge of DoD personnel security processes and regulations, and security facility entry/exit monitoring systems and processes.
Job Duties:
- Screens all non-cleared workers, vehicles, and equipment entering or exiting the project site.
- Denies introduction of prohibited materials such as explosives, weapons, electronic devices, or other items as specified by the Accrediting Official (AO) or designee.
- Conducts random inspections of all site areas to ensure no prohibited materials have been brought on to the site.
- Ensures that all suspicious materials or incidents be brought to the attention of the site security manager or construction surveillance technician.
- Monitors all non-cleared guards provided by the construction company.
- Maintains and operates the Secure Storage Area (SSA) established by the assigned construction company within the construction site footprint where they will store construction materials and equipment that will be used for the project.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and three (3) years of relevant experience; Masters and one (1) year of relevant experience; 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Required Skills:
- Active CAG certification
- Understand facility access control functions.
- Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.
- The ability to read, understand and apply government regulation, policies and procedure (DoD SAP/SCI Community and Intelligence Community directives and manuals, NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117, applicable ICDs, etc.).
- Must be 21-years of age.
- In good physical health and be able to stand, kneel, bend, and lift 20lbs.
- Experience using alarm systems, metal detectors, x-ray devices, and closed-circuit television systems.
- Able to read, speak, and legibly write in English.
Desired Qualifications:
- Preferably three years of military experience.
- Experience as a watch stander.
