Overview
SAIC is actively seeking an experienced C#/.Net Developer to join our dynamic team serving our Department of Veterans Affairs Corporate Portfolio clients across the entire U.S. As a C#/.Net Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining financial software solutions. This position requires strong expertise in C# and .NET, along with experience in working with Oracle, MS SQL databases, and financial systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET technologies.
· Implement best practices for coding, security, Section 508 compliance, and performance optimization.
· Create and manage complex modules and components that integrate with Oracle/MS SQL databases.
· Utilize tools like TOAD, Visual Studio, and Dev Express for efficient database interaction and management.
· Work with business analysts to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
· Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions on time.
· Participate in code reviews, project planning, and estimation.
· Ensure high-quality code through testing and continuous integration practices.
· Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs.
· Continuously improve and optimize the existing codebase.
· Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Maintain documentation of the system architecture, design, and code.
Qualifications
Required Skills
· Proficient in C#, .NET, and ASP.NET development.
· Strong experience with Oracle/MS SQL databases, including development and optimization.
· Experience with toolsets that interact with Oracle (e.g., TOAD).
· Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
· Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Experience with financial systems and knowledge of industry regulations (Preferred).
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
· At least 5-7 years of experience in software development, with significant experience in C# and .NET technologies.
· Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust - Medium Background Investigation (MBI).
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
