SAIC is searching for motivated Business Analyst Interns to join our team of qualified, diverse, and highly motivated individuals located in Huntsville, AL.
- We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, Business-Related Intern for our fast-paced program. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad level of business and accounting functions that will provide unique and rotating responsibilities, regular interactions with management, program leads, and stakeholders with highly challenging tasks.
- This position will be responsible for multiple tasks such as supporting management monitoring of policies and procedures, providing business support for special projects, assisting with various audit requests, and many others. The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of activities, which will require an understanding of business policies/procedures and financial regulations to ensure compliance with government programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist management as required supporting various business requests, working with individuals in and outside of the program's organization monitoring procedures across the organization.
- Develops, implements, and/or maintains one or a combination of accounting systems. Uses accounting and financial procedures in resolving problems and preparing recommendations for management based on the financial results of programs.
- Support Internal, External and Government audit requests through coordination with various departments, including gathering, reviewing, and analyzing current and past budgets, preparing and justifying budget requests, and allocating funds according to spending priorities.
- Assist in preparation and distribute biweekly and quarterly reports and communicate findings and observations to management and stakeholders clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form.
- Individuals in these roles analyze accounting records to determine resources required to implement programs and submits recommendations for budget allocations recommend approval or disapproval of requests for funds and advise staff on cost analysis and fiscal allocations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics to enhance workflow efficiency
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in an Accounting, Finance or a business-related discipline from an accredited college or university, seeking a business-related degree program, Sophomore year or later.
- The candidate must be a self-motivated, proactive professional with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analytics tools, and must possess the acumen for robust task prioritization and management with minimal oversight.
- The candidate must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building with team members and management alike, while confidently working independently.
- In good academic standing with a 3.0 GPA
- Interim secret required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- US Citizenship required
Desired Qualifications:
- Classes in Government Contracting, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
