We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Business Analyst to join our team in Washington DC to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC Federal Systems.
In this role you will utilize your expertise in the area of technical requirements gathering and analysis. The ideal candidate will support our clients, providing strategic guidance in support of new applications or the enhancement of existing applications to facilitate the implementation of solutions using standard methods, best practices, techniques, and tools applicable to requirements analysis. The candidate will analyze client requirements and assist with developing recommendations for system solutions through development, systems improvements, and operational optimizations. Assignments range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving to developing recommendations for complete business solutions or technical applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Investigates, analyzes and resolves routine and advanced problems in selected functional areas.
- Assesses gathers and evaluates client application requirements.
- Performs benchmark needs analysis and requirements definitions in selected functional areas.
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and maintains a variety of client environments or solutions.
- With supervision from more senior analysts and managers, handle portions of larger projects, including data development, analysis, first draft written communications and client interaction.
- Begins to develop depth in one area of specialization (e.g., solutions specialization, architectural design, etc.).
- Coordinates work with developers, testers, operations, engineers, and clients, as required.
- Writes technical documentation – completes portions of analysis sheets (requirements gathering), prepares packaged presentations, and conducts application demonstrations.
- Supports clients by designing, customizing and delivering solutions training and technical presentations.
- Suggests components for basic systems integration of products and services in selected functional areas.
- Writes specification documents for solutions and enhancements to applications or systems within the program.
- Suggests changes to database design that supports proposed solution.
- Performs database queries to trouble shoot problems.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS and 2 years of related experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship
- Must pass a DOJ Minimal Background Investigation, MBI, Level 5 background investigation. Valid EQIP JPAS transfers acceptable
- Possesses specific knowledge in current and emerging software technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in Applications Support and SDLC.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
