COMPLEX FAMILY PLANNING POSITION
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) seeks a full-time BC/BE Complex Family planning specialist, to join our Division of Complex Family Planning. Qualified candidates shall be full-time faculty members of the medical school appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Job Summary:
The physician will provide active patient services related to the delivery of care to women seeking contraception and abortion services as well as assist in residency training Program with formal educational activities, which include conferences, lectures and structured clinical care activities related to the subspecialty.
In addition, the physician will participate in clinical activities related to the general field of obstetrics and gynecology including coverage for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital inpatient and outpatient services. The physician may also participate in departmental and institutional committees, as well as be invited to collaborate in research and education activities. This role requires a deep understanding of reproductive health options, advanced contraceptive methods, and the ability to navigate challenging cases with sensitivity and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive family planning consultations and services to patients, particularly those with medical comorbidities.
- Offer a full range of contraceptive services, including long-acting reversible contraception (LARC), sterilization counseling, and complex LARC placements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including OB-GYNs, primary care physicians, mental health professionals, and social workers, to deliver holistic care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and innovations in reproductive health and family planning to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Participate in community outreach and education efforts to promote awareness and access to family planning services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Provide twenty-four hours per month in-house on-call coverage of ObGyn service (Labor & Delivery, emergency room).
Qualifications:
- MD/DO Degree from a ACGME approved medical school
- Successful completion of a ACGME approved Fellowship in Complex Family Planning
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
- Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with the American Board of
Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Board certified/eligible in Complex Family planning, with the American Board of
Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Must hold a current NJ medical license and CDS or be eligible to receive one prior to start date
