RUSH University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for RUSH Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Medical Director of Liver Transplant in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases & Nutrition, Section of Hepatology. Qualified candidates must display a strong commitment to patient care, resident education, and research. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Transplant Hepatology and be eligible for faculty appointment at the Associate Professor level or above. The successful candidate will have experience in an academic medical center.
Rush was one of the first ten liver transplant centers in the United States, starting in the 1980s. Nearly 2,000 patients have received a liver transplant during the program's 35-year history. Today, the program consists of a large multidisciplinary team which works closely together to maintain exceptional patient care and excellent quality outcomes.
