The Model Maker I will work with various composite and 3D printed materials and maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition. The Model Maker I will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.
As a Model Maker I, you will be responsible for:
- Surfacing parts and fitting components for assemblies
- Developing composite tooling and molds
- Creating foam plank build-ups
- Laminating with epoxy resins and carbon composites
- Participating in vac-form disciplines
- Operating shop equipment, including hand tools, and performing preventive maintenance
- Participating in daily shop organization and clean-up
To be considered as a Model Maker I you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Own tools with toolbox
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions
A successful candidate may also have:
- Certificate in Autobody, Automotive Technology or related
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekend
