1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Genomics Shared Resource (GSR) of is looking for a highly motivated person for the position of Research Technologist. Research Technologist is responsible to perform variety of genomics assays including, DNA/RNA extraction and QC, gene expression analysis using RT-PCR, high throughput PCR applications, Next Generation sequencing and microarray analyses. Additional duties include routine maintenance of equipment, purchasing reagents/consumables, and assisting with compliance with local and federal guidelines. This position requires excellent molecular biology and organizational skills. The pay range is $48,515 - $61,525 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Qualifications: Required Education and ExperienceBS degree in Biological Sciences, Natural Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and/or Biology.
This position requires over one year of genomic lab experience including expertise in DNA/RNA extraction and QC using qubit, bioanalyzer or TapeStation and minimum one year experience with LIMS.
Experience in NanoString, NGS library pep and sanger sequencing are highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have a BS/MS degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and/or Biology, 1-2 years hands on experience in DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-QPCR. Experience with LIMS, Sanger sequencing and Next generation sequencing.
