1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Department of Cancer Prevention and Control and the Biorepository and Laboratory Service is seeking a Research Technologist to work in the lab. This service supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with processing samples and conducts laboratory procedures under the direction of a supervisor; records findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed. Candidate should have prior laboratory experience and should have at least one year of experience with LabVantage LIMS.Salary range for this position is $48,515 - $61,525 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experiences:
- 3-5 years experience working in laboratory setting
- Experience processing blood and tissue products
- Experience working in a fast paced team environment
- Experience working with blood processing and laboratory equipment
- Experience working w a LIMS
- Degree in laboratory sciences
