Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Human Histology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Prepares tissue for microscopic review; stains slides with special stains including immunohistochemistry; maintains laboratory equipment and completes appropriate quality control records; maintains the laboratory in a clean fashion. This position includes a base salary and geographic differential. The total combined salary range for the Histotechnician (Grade 12) is $61,554 - $72,355 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

The total combined salary range for the Senior Histotechnician (Grade 14) is $67,458 - $79,232 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. To qualify for the Senior Histotechnician (Grade 14) the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time histology experience including the performance of advanced staining procedures (immunohistochemistry, tinctorial staining and in-situ hybridization) is required. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
1. License to practice as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Eligibility for licensure as a Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree in Histological or Clinical Laboratory Technology; or
2. Associate's degree in a related discipline and completion of a Histological Technician Certificate program recognized by New York State for licensure exam eligibility.

NOTES:
1. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
