Title: Data Manager II (Part-Time)

0.6 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The candidate will support the Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the Registry's database. The role involves data abstraction from various sources into one consolidated database, monitoring data for completeness and accuracy, defining and running queries to monitor data quality, and generating reports to identify and correct discrepant or inaccurate data entries. Responsibilities include identifying and rectifying errors, performing data entry, digitizing paper records, querying data for cohort identification, and maintaining data integrity. An understanding of relational database functionality is essential. SQL experience is a plus. The position requires some in-person training and tasks with the potential for hybrid or fully remote work. The successful candidate is a detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional with expertise in medical terminology and healthcare data privacy to support our ovarian cancer research database.

Starting hourly range is $27.52 - $34.72. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment; or
2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

•    Proficiency in medical terminology, healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA), and data privacy standards in medical research
•    Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with attention to detail
•    Communication & organizational skills, with ability to provide concise & professional reporting to leadership
•    Ability to query, clean, and maintain databases using vendor-provided software (SQL knowledge a plus) as well as ability to identify and rectify database discrepancies and errors
•    Understanding of relational database functionality
•    Knowledge of regulatory standards in medical research, such as IRB guidelines
•    Experience documenting processes and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
