Description

The Project Manager is responsible for store remodels, refresh upgrades, equipment replacement and specialty roll-out programs for United Pacific's retail gas and convenience stores. This Project Manager position requires a proven leader who can oversee a multi-site operation, provide strategic guidance, budgetary oversight and drive cost-effective practices. The Project Manager will coordinate project timelines, oversee material procurement and source third party contractors to ensure successful and timely project execution. The Project Manager will track financial performance and provide progress updates. The Project Manager will also ensure all applicable Building and Regulatory permits are provided and that United Pacific adheres to industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout entire project implementation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Source vendors and materials through RFP/bid process.
  • Review Contractors' onsite Safety Program and ensure United Pacific (UP) compliance.
  • Communicate with United Pacific internal personnel prior to the start of each project to ensure there is a clear

        understanding of the project scope, timeline and deliverables.

  • Provide weekly progress update reports and track budget.
  • Increased scope of work/change order must be pre-approved by supervisor prior to any work being

       performed.

  • Order and coordinate equipment delivery as needed to maximize overall project execution.
  • Ensure Vendors/Contractors always remain accountable and consistently meet expectations.
  • Organize needed resources to meet project objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all applicable Building and Regulatory permits are provided by third party vendors.
  • Utilize and adhere to Industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout entire project.
  • Evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adhere to United Pacific Risk Management and Safety Policies/Procedures.
  • Up to 65% of travel to United Pacific portfolio of sites required.

 

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years' entry level project management experience, preferably in the retail gas

               industry. Prior experience in commercial retail development projects can be substituted for retail gas industry

               experience.

  • A four-year degree in business, or a related field, is preferred but not required.
  • 2 years of experience leading an RFP process is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing external vendors and project budgets is required.
  • Proven proficiency with the full Microsoft Office suite is required. Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency

               with PowerPoint is also required. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver license, proof of insurance and a safe driving record.
