We are looking to hire an Field HR Business Partner that will support the HR and Retail Operations team in the southern Colorado area. We offer industry training, medical, dental and vision insurance, performance bonuses, and a 401(k) match.
In this field-based position, the HR Business Partner is responsible for developing and implementing human resources and talent strategies that are aligned with business objectives in a designated division. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resource and talent issues. The successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs in the field. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated talent solutions that drive business results. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

Essential areas of the position include:
- Acts as a strategic HR Business partner to the regional business leadership team.
- Develop and implement programs that drive employee engagement and retention
- Talent assessment and succession planning
- Consults on optimal Field organization design and talent alignment
- Manages employee relations cases by providing employee and manager coaching and counseling while ensuring consistent application and interpretation of company policies, practices and procedures.
- Leads harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment and DFEH/EEOC investigations.
- Reviews terminations and disciplinary actions, investigations, employee relations decisions of store/restaurant management for consistency, risk and completeness.
- Coaches and advises the leadership team on performance management issues such as hiring, associate performance, career and personal development, resolving associate concerns and terminations.
- Partners with store management to evaluate internal candidates and identify high potential associates.
- Conducts field visits, interviews, and exit interviews to understand opportunities for improved retention.
- Conducts/facilitates local training and development sessions as needed.
- Participates in the design and delivery of HR programs to ensure programs are aligned with business needs. Participates in project teams to design content and plan delivery.
- Identify organizational safety training needs & develop safety training programs.
- Ensure injured employees are directed to the correct Worker's Compensation clinic or treating physician when appropriate.
- Continuously strives to minimize the ambiguity and uncertainty often associated with implementing change
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field and minimum (5) years human resources related experience.
- Strong business judgment and strategic orientation, particularly in linking HR with business strategies and goals.
- Experience supporting multi-unit retail and/or restaurant industries.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and facilitation skills.
- Must have the ability to work with all levels of employees.
- Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Ability to travel up to 90% of the time, including overnight as required.
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems and make decisions.
- Experience with change management
- Analytical and strategic planning skills
- Prior experience with HR and Talent analytics
- Strong business acumen
- Solid leadership, decision-making and collaboration skills
