The Position
St. Lawrence Health is looking for full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team of dedicated provider
The ideal candidate will be BE within 5 years of completing residency or BC.- Full time is 12, 12 hour shifts for 144 hours per month

- 7a-7p or 7p-7a
- 24 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of APP coverage
- APP shifts:
- 8a - 5p and 5p - 2a in the main ED
- 10a - 10p in the intake area as a provider in triage
- Physician coverage will be expanded to 36 hours per day in Q1 2025 when the new ED opens
- APP shifts:
- Physicians average 1.32 patients per hour
- Accepts transfers from MH and GH
- ER runs trauma
- 7a-7p or 7p-7a
- 24 hours of physician coverage and 8 hours of APP coverage
- APP shift:
- 1p - 9p in the main ED
- APP shift:
- Physicians average 1.34 patients per hour
- Significantly less-busy nights
- Critical access hospital
- 8a-8p or 8p-8a
- Physicians average 1.18 patients per hour
- Generally lower acuity with significantly less-busy nights
- Critical access hospital
Financial Package
- Compensation:
- Massena ED: $300/hr
- Potsdam ED: $285/hr
- Gouverneur ED: $265/hr
- System Physician: $315/hr
- System physicians cover shifts at all three hospitals
- Signing Bonus - $50k for a 2 year contract

Core Hospitals
SLH is comprised of three hospitals and a number of outreach primary and specialty care practices throughout St. Lawrence County. Each practice is affiliated with one of our hospitals.
- Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility certified for 94 beds. Its core programs include emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, critical care, and a Level III Trauma Center that is fully equipped to provide rapid and thorough trauma care to adults involved in physically traumatic situations.
- Gouverneur Hospital (GH) is a not-for-profit critical access hospital certified for 25 beds. Services include emergency care, medical imaging and EKGs, laboratory, physical rehabilitation, and respiratory therapy. GH also houses our comprehensive substance abuse rehabilitation programs, including medicated assisted treatment, and behavioral therapies.
- Massena Hospital (MH) is a 25-bed acute care hospital providing inpatient, medical, surgical, and detoxification services in addition to emergency care. MH's main campus also provides medical imaging and laboratory services, nutritional counseling, respiratory care, cardiac rehabilitation, and inpatient physical and speech therapies. Outreach health centers offer the community cardiology, infusion, nephrology, neurology, OB-GYN and women's health, pediatrics, and primary care.

$265.0 / Hourly - $265.0 / Hourly

* Pay Summary: The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.
