SummaryThe Manager Supplier Business Commercial Strategy will be responsible for supporting the project work related to the pursuit and retention of supplier business to ensure we maintain a robust portfolio of suppliers and brands. This role also plays a key role in supporting the process development for supplier pursuits – including business diagnostics, plan development and presentation creation.
In this role, you will- Strategy Development & Execution – Collaborate with senior management to refine supplier business strategies, ensuring alignment across corporate and local markets.
- Market Research & Growth Opportunities – Conduct market analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, and competitive insights for supplier business expansion.
- Strategic Initiatives – Assist in developing initiatives and projects to attract, retain, and strengthen supplier partnerships.
- Project Management – Lead supplier-related projects, defining scope, objectives, and timelines while managing risks and ensuring successful execution.
- Supplier Relationship Management – Support supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations to optimize partnerships.
- Data Analysis & Insights – Gather and analyze supplier performance data to generate actionable insights and track key business metrics.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, operations, and state leadership to ensure cohesive execution of supplier initiatives.
- Process Improvement – Identify and implement opportunities to enhance supplier engagement, contract efficiency, and business performance.
- Stakeholder Coordination – Ensure seamless communication and alignment among internal and external partners for supplier-related projects.
- Industry Engagement – Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and innovations to drive continuous improvement in supplier business development.
- Education & Experience – Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in management consulting or strategy roles.
- Strategic Expertise – Proven experience in strategy development, business development, or project management within the alcoholic beverage supplier industry or a related field.
- Project Management – Expertise in project planning, execution, and risk management to drive successful outcomes.
- Data Analysis & Insights – Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Communication & Presentation – Excellent ability to convey complex concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Relationship Management – Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Industry Knowledge – Deep understanding of supplier business landscape, including industry trends, dynamics, and key players.
- Self-Motivation & Proactiveness – Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership & Collaboration – Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across departments.
- Travel Requirement – Up to 25% travel as needed to support business initiatives and supplier partnerships.
