SummaryRNDC is looking for an organized and strategic Region Finance Director to join our finance team. The Region Finance Director is a high visibility and influential leadership role within RNDC that will provide financial leadership and direction in aligning the business and finance strategy across multiple markets (e.g., Regional groupings of states/territories such as West, East, South & Central, Control States). This role will play a pivotal part in enabling the critical success of the delivery of financial targets, financial strategies, governance and transformation objectives, and governance across the multiple markets within their Region.
In this role, you will- Provide financial, P&L, balance sheet, and strategic leadership across the businesses to make financial and business decisions that deliver the Region and market P&L targets to efficiently and effectively grow the business year-over-year.
- Lead the regional long-range plan (LRP), annual Plan, and monthly/quarterly actuals and forecast/rolling estimate process, this includes ownership of the regional financial model and implementing timelines for both planning and forecast cycles
- Provide strategic hands-on, metrics driven financial analyses, variance to plan explanations, and financial strategies to help accelerate growth and profitability within the Region
- Analyze business risks and opportunities, and make recommendations as they affect the financial results of the business, including mitigating, course-corrective actions if the business is off plan
- Understand and leverage platform financial models to drive capital returns with most optimal resource deployment; lead regional cap ex allocation decisions
- Preparation of board materials and reporting for Executive Leadership team
- Support M&A / Business Integration in the Regions. This may involve acquisition, integration, and divestiture activities, all following a wider comprehensive strategic plan
- Develop metrics to track region-specific and company-wide trends, identify opportunities, clearly communicate recommendations, and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Partner with Corporate FP&A and Accounting to provide financial analysis and commentary of variances to plan to key stakeholders
- Diligently lead Rolling Estimates, long-range plan (LRP), and BP processes for a Region
- Build capability: People, Process and Knowledge Systems; Develop vision and actions plans to develop best-in-class finance talent across the Region
- Master's or bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or supply chain management.); and/or 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years previous management in finance with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier highly preferred. Industry knowledge (supplier or wholesale distributor) in a management position responsible for performance of a department. Experience must include financial analysis; change management; and responsibility for managing and leading an accountable team.
- Ability to read, analyze, & interpret financial and accounting data. Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into useful and insightful business case evaluation formats in order to facilitate and make value-added business decisions. Ability to draw insights and conclusions from multiple data sources and use own judgment and experience in making value accretive financial decisions.
- Expert in the Microsoft Office Suite of software tools, with a particular expertise in Excel, Power Point, and Power BI. Deep knowledge of and experience with Excel and Power BI will be strongly preferred. Additionally, experience with database software, Logility, Microstrategy, etc. preferred, or the aptitude to learn.
- Demonstrate outstanding financial and commercial acumen and have the ability to create and deploy replicable business models across geographies, along with the appropriate governance and controls to manage these on an ongoing basis
- Strong structured thinking and proven analytical ability; Entrepreneurial thought leader - with a high level of energy and drive to succeed and win
- Ability to communicate complexity simply and effectively particularly to senior management
- Knowledge of EPM or demonstrated & proven track record of exceptional learning agility
- Embraces working with lean resources and looking for ways to leverage a networked support model
- Builds best-in-class finance teams and fit-for-purpose support structures
- Knowledge and previous deployment of financial controls – able to figure out the best IT systems solutions and shared services models to employ in a lean and smart way in order to get things done as we scale the business
- Modern accounting software; Compliance software; Enterprise resource planning ERP software; Financial analysis software and Excel; analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau
