SummaryJoin our team at RNDC as the Lead Data Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in orchestrating our enterprise data ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and inspire a team of data engineers, driving the creation of robust data pipelines and ensuring the seamless flow and utilization of data across our organization.
In this role, you will- Leadership Excellence: Guide and mentor a team of engineers through every phase of the data lifecycle, from architecture and design to implementation and beyond. Your expertise will steer the team towards excellence in code quality, release management, and technical presentations.
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data strategies. Your architectural decisions will be aligned with our overarching business objectives, ensuring that our data infrastructure remains agile and responsive to evolving requirements.
- Innovative Solutions: Design and construct the data pipelines that power our analytics capabilities, leveraging a diverse array of data sources. Your creative problem-solving skills will enable you to tackle complex data modeling challenges, unlocking valuable insights that give us a competitive edge in the market.
- Data Governance: Implement robust mechanisms for data tagging and metadata management, ensuring that our data assets are accurately classified and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders. You'll also spearhead initiatives to enhance data quality, consistency, and privacy protection, mitigating risks and maximizing the value of our data assets.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of innovation and automation within the team, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual effort. Your commitment to excellence will fuel our journey towards standardization and efficiency in data management.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent real-world experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data management or a related field, with a deep understanding of data warehouse architectures and ETL/ELT processes.
- Proficiency in Cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Redshift and Snowflake, along with expertise in data modeling, mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data pipeline and workflow management tools.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and stream-processing systems such as Kafka, Storm, and Spark-Streaming.
