Summary

The Costing Analyst plays a pivotal role in maintaining accurate costing within the company's ERP and pricing platforms, essential for supporting critical business operations across Account Payable, Revenue Management, and Commercial Finance. This position ensures objectives are not only met but exceeded through meticulous attention to detail and execution of duties. The Costing Analyst also contributes to tracking point of origins of orders, conducting freight analysis, and communicating unplanned cost changes to internal teams.

In this role, you will
  • Timely Cost Changes: Ensure organized and timely uploading of planned cost changes into our systems, aligning with price changes to facilitate accurate reporting of gross profit.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain documentation of planned cost changes for auditing purposes, ensuring proper backup is obtained before any changes are made to our COGS in the system.
  • Process Development: Develop processes for capturing and analyzing complex costing strategies across the network, including DI versus Domestic costing, Free Goods on invoice, SPA's, and other costing nuances.
  • Reporting System Development: Build a reporting system to enforce adequate timelines with cost changes, measuring the timeframe from notification of a planned cost change to its implementation.
  • Management of Other Costing Metrics: Assist in managing other costing metrics such as state tax auditing, split bottle charges, and freight costs.
  • Inventory Evaluation Support: Prepare documentation for inventory evaluation due to costing changes, collaborating with the accounting team to determine necessary accruals.
  • Floor Stock Adjustments: Conduct floor stock adjustments as needed in response to improper billing.
  • Collaboration with Purchasing and Transportation: Partner with Purchasing and Transportation teams to calculate, analyze, and fully load freight rates by state & supplier. Conduct freight variance analysis and collaborate with other departments to correct gaps.
     
What you bring to RNDC
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college preferred.
  • 5 or more years of related experience.
  • 5 or more years of related experience in the focus area in the industry with 2 years of experience within the pricing department.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

 Compensation

This compensation information is a good faith estimate and provided in accordance with California's state law. Similar positions located outside of this jurisdiction may not necessarily receive the same compensation. The salary generally starts at 39,300.00 up to 56,200.00, and is a combination of base salary plus monthly earned commissions if applicable. The salary is an estimate based on an applicant's skills and experience.
