Key responsibilities:
o Comply with company policies and any training received at all times.
o The Health & Safety of yourself and colleagues is always maintained by following Safe Systems of Work, training and wearing of correct PPE as required. Reporting of Accidents, Near Misses and Hazards
o Ensure that the workplace is always maintained to acceptable standards to reduce to the risk of hazards.
o Ensure that plant and equipment is always operated safely & correctly to deliver operational efficiencies.
o Perform consistently and efficiently to ensure you and the production team deliver quality products, safely and to specification. Work as part of a team to support the day to day running of the production department.
o Support other areas of the business if requested to meet operational needs. o Raise and report plant defects using the CMMS.
o Support engineering activities as required to ensure timely manner of repair to minimise production downtime.
o Carry out any routine inspections of plant or equipment as requested.
o Carry out daily sample collection and inspection of grain samples – visual and moisture.
o Carry out hygiene tasks across the site as required to maintain standards. Internal Job Opportunity Experience:
Essential:
o Ability to work cooperatively with others and without supervision. o Good level of written and oral English language
o Able to work within a fast past environment to ensure process timings and quality requirements consistently met o Have a flexible approach to working hours
o Strong communication skills to develop working relationships
Desirable:
o FLT license preferred but not essential, training will be provided
o IOSH Working Safely
o Previous production experience
o Previous experience of using SCADA systems
o Use of high-pressure cleaning systems o Understanding of the safe use of chemicals, training will be provided
