Since 1870 we've been making malted barley for brewers and distillers all over the world from our home maltings in Norfolk, England. Today, we continue that work in 4 countries, across 7 maltings with a specific emphasis on supplying distilleries and craft breweries. We currently have an opportunity for a Production Operative at our Crisp Malt, Great Ryburgh location. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate plant equipment to meet production schedules while documenting process data accurately. 

  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Food Regulations, and report procedural breaches, hazards, near misses, or unsafe conditions promptly to the line manager or Production Supervisor. 

  • Ensure timely completion of Food Safety Quality Checks and facilitate necessary training. 

  • Follow Safe Systems of Work, wear PPE, and report incidents to ensure health and safety. 

  • Collaborate with engineering to report faults and minimize production downtime. 

  • Conduct daily grain inspections, taking action to maintain quality standards. 

  • Maintain hygiene in line with food safety and HACCP requirements. 

Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes. 

  • Strong communication skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Capable of collaborating with others or working independently. 

  • Proficient computer skills with a flexible approach to working hours. 

  • Reach truck licence and manual handling training considered an asset. 

  • Food or Malting production experience considered an asset. 

Please note that at present this role is for Day Shift Monday- Friday 6am-3pm. This shift is currently being reviewed so days and hours may change. More information regarding this will be given at the interview stage of the process.
