The position of Paralegal will be based out of our Dallas, TX location! (Hybrid)

Summary
The Paralegal will be responsible for a wide range of paralegal/legal secretary and administrative matters involving commercial transactions, corporate governance, litigation, employment, mergers & acquisitions, finance, securitization, bankruptcy, trademarks/intellectual property, compliance, and other similar matters. The Paralegal will work closely with other Rexel USA Legal Team members, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and various internal clients.

 

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, edit, and finalize legal communications, presentations, and databases, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Manage corporate minute books and Rexel USA server / legal file database and records, utilizing database management software, legal files, and secure legal server
  • Prepare required legal forms and documents, i.e., Board of Directors/Managers resolutions, board notices, secretary certificates, incumbency certificates, powers of attorney, non-disclosure agreements, and other documents as necessary
  • Manage agency and litigation matters, especially asbestos and toxic tort litigation, including services of process and subpoena responses, including the preparation, updating, and finalizing bi-annual reporting to Rexel Group and Auditors
  • In coordination with other members of the Legal Department, respond to and handle Rexel USA field requests across the various Regions and specialty businesses for assistance with various transactions, compliance, and corporate governance information, documentation, and related matters, such as vendor qualification forms, certifications, and state qualification/registration documentation.
  • Manage invoice submission and payment process for Legal and related invoices, logging and disseminating invoices for payment processing, including HR, Finance and Accounts Payable team
  • Oversee administrative responsibilities, including handling office mail and procurement of office equipment and supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent    
  • 7+ years of experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Administrative Assistant within a law firm or corporate law department
  • Paralegal or comparable certification preferred
  • Notary Public in the applicable state

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy in fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated exceptional organizational and analytical skills
