The position of Director Region Procurement will be based out of our Remote, IL location!Summary
The Director Region Procurement is responsible for lead management of the procurement team and procurement strategy for an assigned region. Responsible for inventory and obsolescence management, all inventory related customer KPIs, and branch inventory profiling.
This position will be primarily remote, but will be linked to one of the following branches:
- Naperville, IL
- Indianapolis, IN
What You'll Do
- Management of all HR/personnel issues including annual performance reviews, compensation, coordination of benefits/payroll issues, promotions, merit increases, etc.
- Execute the Rexel USA procurement strategy for assigned region
- Manage optimal procurement of inventory for hub territory
- Establish and maintain product availability and service goals
- Monitor inventory levels and stock turns to maximize fill rate and balance trade working capital expectations
- Manage obsolescence to meet and exceed KPI's
- Establish and maintain the stock range policy and product return policy
- Drive Digital Adoption internally and with suppliers
- Build strategy with Supplier Relations team to achieve regional and national rebate and PV targets. Monitor vendor performance and drive vendor rationalization in the defined region
- Explain and instruct the following purchasing practices: Review items for purchase, initiate changes as identified, complete understanding of all aspects of purchasing product, initiate parameter adjustments as needed in conjunction with leadership
- Present and discuss corporate inventory management goals and guidelines to procurement team and commercial leadership: Inventory goals, turns and/or days investment, and major vendor changes
- Regular communication with commercial leadership using the following methods: conference call, webcasts, emails/newsletters, and on-site visits
- Comfortable with all aspects of vendor relations including: ability to negotiate local and regional programs, resolve vendor, rep, and/or branch disputes, and communicate corporate expectations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures
- Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
- Drive cross functional collaboration with commercial and operations teams internally to improve supply chain process efficiencies; strives to deliver the best customer experience
- Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 8+ years related experience in the industry
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience

- Ability to consistently demonstrate sound judgment in decision making

For the state of Illinois only, the pay range is $128,670.84 - $$168,880.48, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Commission/Bonus Plan: MIP
