  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Position Purpose: This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care.
  • Nature and Scope: This position is challenged to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems. The RN coordinates care between other professionals as needed. Intensive continuous mental effort is required to provide optimal safe patient care.
    Job Requirements
  • Licenses: NV RN license required prior to start
  • Experience Required: ICU or ER experience plus 2 years PACU experience in Level I or II trauma center, pediatric and trauma experience. Previous travel experience is required
  • Critical care experience required to be successful.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: 4x9-hour shifts per week with variable start times.
  • Call Requirements: Call may be required and is discussed during interview
  • Schedule varies based upon department needs. Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit Description: Recovery room for inpatient and outpatient surgeries. Includes Level II trauma, ICU, PICU/peds recovery. No NICU cases or patients established on the vent before surgery. 38 bed unit including 3 isolation rooms. Surgeries include: orthopedic, GI/GU, gastric sleeves, TAVR, IR, cath lab, pediatric, neurosurgery including craniotomies, vascular surgery
    Additional Details
  • Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
  • May be required to work major holidays and is required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period.
  • Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts.
