Reporting to, and under the direction of the nursing director, this position is responsible for the development, implementation, quality assessment, improvement, evaluation of, and inter/intra-disciplinary communication of the stroke and sepsis programs directed towards providing high quality and safe services for patients experiencing stroke or sepsis. This individual works collaboratively with the stroke and sepsis medical directors in a mutually supportive relationship, which is essential to the success of the program.

The stroke and sepsis coordinator is an expert nurse who provides leadership for the organization of services and systems necessary for a collaborative approach to stroke and sepsis care. This positions helps oversee the processes and performance improvement activities as they relate to provider, nursing, and ancillary personnel and assists in standardizing care protocols. This position plans, implements, and evaluates clinical programs to achieve high quality, patient-focused outcomes which advance patient and family care, and work collaboratively with hospital personnel on performance improvement projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current California RN license required.

2. Current NIHSS certification required.

3. BSN required, MSN preferred.

4. Current CPR certification required (American Heart Association).

5. Current ACLS required.

6. 2 - 7 years of nursing ICU and/or emergency department experience required.

7. 2 years of stroke and sepsis-specific experience required.

Compensation Information:
$126380.8 / annually - $126380.8 / annually


Starting At: 126380.8 annually
Up To: 183248.0 annually
