Description
Under the direction of the supervising OB/GYN attendingphysician, this position performs assigned functions for continuity of patientcare and efficient patient flow. Position requires need to maintain ahigh quality of patient care.
The Certified Nurse-Midwife practices within a healthcare system that provides for physician consultation, collaborative managementand referral as indicated by the health status of the patient. Thenurse-midwife is responsible for providing full-scope care, which includestwenty-four-hour in-house coverage. The nurse-midwife is administrativelyaccountable to the Vice President of Patient Care and is clinically accountableto the supervising OB/GYN attending physician, OB Section Chief and MaternalChild Services Director.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
1. Acurrent, valid, unrestricted nursing license by the California Board ofRegistered Nursing
2. Certificationas a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and BRN
3. Successfulcompletion of a midwifery education program accredited by the ACNM
4. Current, unrestrictedDEA license in California
5. Current,valid, unrestricted liability insurance coverage in the amount of $1M/$3M witha company acceptable to the Medical Executive Committee and Hospital.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Current ACLS Certification
- CurrentBLS Certification
- Current NRP Certification
- Designated Collaborating RCH Medical Staff Member and Written Collaboration Agreement
- Participate in and complete ongoing unit-based education and drill participation as directed.
Compensation Information:
$147846.40 / annually - $214385.60 / annually
