    Certification Details
  • CA License in hand or pending with ETAs of when it will post
  • 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience leading up to assignment
  • PEDS Cardiac experience
  • Heart transplant experience
  • Willing to float between units
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • Experience in: Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation
    Job Details
  • Traveler could be floated to every unit except OR, PACU and ED.
  • The units include PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit.
  • On rare occasion, floated to Bernardy Center.
  • Ratio:1:1-2
  • Unit Summary: 30-37 beds.
  • Seeing post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology patients, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO.
  • Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice.
  • Patients can range from neonatal up to 23.
    Job Requirements
  • CA License
  • 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience leading up to assignment
  • PEDS Cardiac exp - MUST be cardiac trained
  • Heart transplant experience
  • Willing to float between units
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • Experience in: Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation
    Schedule Information
  • 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available
  • Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
  • For night shift it is any combination of Fri/Sat nights and for day shift it is Sat/Sun.
  • 13 week contracts
  • Requested Time Off: 6 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week)
  • Must be available to work holidays
  • Self scheduling!
    Unit Specific Information

    Additional Details
  • Valid photo ID is required.
  • Traveler must present on their first day.
  • Chemo Certified APHON (required for Hemotology/Oncology).
  • TNCC is preferred but not required for ER and Peds ER.
  • OR Tech/CST - IAHCSMM (HSPA) or CBSPD is preferred, not required.
  • Orientation Information - sent out on the Thursday before a Monday start.
