WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Payroll Auditor performs payroll audits and quality control functions to ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and company policies. Job duties include:
- Perform the full payroll audit cycle including quality control audits of data entry and pay data into core HR Information System (“HRIS”), based on company pay polices.
- Assessment of punch exceptions from the biometric timekeeping system.
- Execute assigned human resources audits to maintain compliance with hiring policies and procedures.
- Document audit findings for tracking and retention purposes.
- Report audit findings to appropriate stakeholder(s) depending on the type of audit.
- Utilize BI software, such as Tableau, to evaluate raw data from core systems and communicate results to Field Managers and Payroll Audit Supervisor.
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective action has been implemented.
- Manage incoming calls for the payroll department.
- Establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with co-workers and PSSI team members and effectively communicates with management via verbal and written communications.
- Work harmoniously with persons assigned to assist in the payroll process.
- Other audits and duties as needed.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Associate's degree or equivalent education and/or payroll experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with BI Software Products such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Related work experience as an Internal Auditor.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills to make informed decisions.
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
- Ability to pick up new tasks as assigned on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly as the company grows and policies and laws update.
- Self-starter who can work as a team and individually.
OUR ENVIRONMENT:
This is a hybrid role, partially based at the Corporate Headquarters, combining time in a traditional office setting with remote work from your professional home office. You will be expected to work on-site at minimum three days a week. The position requires sitting for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
