WHAT YOU WILL DO:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
·Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines; is accountable for their personal safety and the safety of their co-workers.
·Comprehend and execute written operating procedures.
·Safely unload hazardous and non-hazardous bulk liquids into storage tanks from tanker trucks and railcars.
·Safely load hazardous and non-hazardous bulk liquids into tanker trucks and isotainers.
·Interface with a PLC control system.
·Obtain, label, and deliver samples from various equipment and containers to the laboratory.
·Accurately record processing information in electronic devices and on paper documents.
·Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
·Execute emergency procedures in response to chemical incidents, inclement weather, or other situations that threaten the safety of team members and the plant site.
·Work cohesively with team members across multiple departments.
·Perform duties required to comply with SQF standards.
·Complete initial and routine safety, processing, and compliance training.
·Comply with all company policies and procedures.
·Safely utilize and operate equipment to produce and package products including the following:
oPPE
oFlow meters
oLevel, temperature, and pressure measuring devices
oCentrifugal and air diaphragm pumps with associated hoses and dip pipes
oCam lock hoses and fittings
oManual and automatic valves
oSample valves/collection points
oForklifts
oYard Trucks
oWeigh scales
oSolids handling equipment
oBarcode scanning devices
oHMIs and PLCs
oDesktop/Laptop computers
·Prepare finished products for shipment with proper labels and batch documentation.
·Troubleshoot software, instrumentation, solids-handling, blending, and hydraulic systems.?
·Participate in lock-out/tag-out and other safety procedures on equipment in preparation for maintenance and other activities.?
·Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (“GED”).
- Ability to comprehend and execute written procedures and policies.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and yard truck in production areas.
- Ability to safely work in an outdoor environment throughout the year which involves climbing ladders and operating platforms to access the top of railcars, tanker trucks, and isotainers.
- Knowledge of basic math- addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment as a chemical production or bulk chemical operator.
- Work experience which requires adherence to written procedures, use of PPE, and knowledge of Lockout Tagout (LOTO) and Safe Work processes.
- Experience using a yard truck to safely move tanker trucks and/or isotainers into loading positions, scale houses, and parking spaces.
- Forklift operation certification.
OUR ENVIRONMENT:
Outside or inside working environment, where potentially hazardous working conditions and life-threatening situations may exist (fire, chemicals, electrical sources, heights, etc.).
Team members will be required to wear PPE for various lengths of time in both hot and cold environments and may be required to lift / carry up to 50 lbs. and push / pull up to 100 lbs. on a consistent basis.
