Day shift hours - four 10 hour days/week. 0630-1700. Hours may vary within this time frame. Week 1: Monday through Thursday and Week 2: Tuesday through Friday. No weekends, holidays or nights.

About the Neuroscience Department

ProHealth Care's Neuroscience Department operates across two locations:

  • Waukesha Memorial Hospital Campus

  • Outpatient Center in Oconomowoc

 

Together, these locations serve 400 to 500 outpatient visits monthly, providing comprehensive care for a range of neurological and pain management needs. Our specialty services include:

  • Medical Pain Management

  • Pain Psychology

  • Stroke Follow-Up Clinic

  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Clinic

  • Concussion/Brain Injury Clinic

Your Role as a Clinical Support Associate

As a CSA Medical Assistant / Clinic LPN/ EMT - you will play a crucial role in supporting our multidisciplinary team, including 2 physiatrists, 2 psychologists, 2 advanced practice nurse prescribers, 5 RNs, and 4 clerical staff. This role requires you to provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operations and excellent patient care.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Patient Care & Assistance: Engage with patients during their visits, providing support to the medical team in assessments and treatments.

  • Clinical Support: Assist in the flow of outpatient care, support patient intake, and coordinate between healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient experiences.

  • Administrative Duties: Manage scheduling, appointment confirmations, and patient documentation. Provide clear communication with patients and their families regarding their care plans and next steps.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with neurosurgeons, neurologists, medical specialists, and other healthcare team members in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Background in Healthcare Support: Experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA, or other clinical support role preferred.

  • Organizational & Communication Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient communication.

  • Team-Oriented Attitude: Positive and collaborative approach to patient care, working effectively within a team of diverse healthcare professionals.

What You Will Do:

The Clinical Support Associate (LPN/MA/EMT) performs assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients.

 

Some of the job responsibilities include: preparing exam room; ensure sufficient stock of supplies, materials, and instruments; room patients and obtain vital signs; request and record health history; and ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) or other patient records.

 

You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Current state license required for those who completed the LPN education program.
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification preferred but not required for those who completed the Medical Assistant education program or Completion of an accredited LPN education program or Documented completion of the United States Military Medical Corpsman program
  • BLS (CPR)
