We Are Hiring:  Manager Patient Care - Medical Surgical Unit - Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital  

 

 

Join a Collaborative and Compassionate Team on Our Medical Surgical Unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital

Located on the 2nd floor of OMH, our 24-bed Orthopedic Center of Excellence specializes in caring for patients recovering from total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as orthopedic fractures and a small medical population. Adjacent to this is our 11-bed 3 South unit, which provides care to a diverse group of medical and general surgical patients, including those with sepsis, stroke, CHF, COPD, and those recovering from procedures like appendectomies and bowel surgeries.

 

 

Our dedicated team of over 60 staff members—including RNs, CNAs, and Unit Clerks—is supported by strong clinical leadership and an interdisciplinary care model. Nurses on both units gain valuable experience with telemetry, wound care, continuous medication infusions, and managing various tubes and drains.

 

 

We are proud of our culture of continuous improvement and shared governance, with staff actively leading initiatives focused on patient outcomes such as fall prevention and skin integrity.

 

 

Schedule Details: M - F 8am - 4:30pm. Hours may vary depending on unit activities. 

 

What You Will Need:
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role within a critical care setting.
  • Skills: Proven ability in financial management, staff development, performance improvement, and strategic planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
