Hours: The work shifts for this role will vary depending on the training needs of the department. You will be scheduled 1030 am - 7 pm but hours will vary depending on the need. Must have some flexibility to work all shifts when applicable. Weekends and holidays as needed. Must also be flexible to work multiple site locations as the training needs dictate. Your office will be located at WMH and you will travel from there on a regular basis.

Job Summary

It is the primary responsibility of the Lead EVS Trainer to perform a variety of duties to support the effective functioning of the department, assist in the development, implementation, facilitation and/or evaluation of training programs to include but are not limited to: new hire training, task and core service standard training for the Environmental Services Department, and other training as assigned by the (Supervisors, Manager or Director.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and PHC's policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

 Work closely with the Supervisors to develop, facilitate and evaluate general training programs as required.

-Update and create EVS policies as needed

-Ensure all employee files are up to date with their training records

-Present at the Enviromental and Infection Prevention meetings

-Create competencies as needed with the assistance of the Supervisors

-Update the EVS department CBL

-Set up a monthly meeting with the Supervisors & Manager to report out on the completion of CBL's, competencies, quality check scores and completion rate.

-Set up training for staff that do not meet the quality check critiria

-Set up a weekly plan for the Trainer

-Be in charge of the onboarding process and delegate as necessary

-Hold staff accountable for errors and report this information to the Supervisors for further follow through

-Create agenda for department meetings, present at meetings

-Create monthly qualitity check scores, present this information and post at all locations

-Post hand hygiene scores at all EVS department locations

-Look for areas of improvent and keep track of trends with failed quality checks and present a plan to the Supervisors and Manager
• Develop, implement and evaluate all weekly core service standard and task training session plans within the entire Environmental Services Department cross campus.
• Generate and distribute weekly Core Service standard and task training session plans to all Supervisors for implementation.
• Facilitate core service and task training Environmental Services employees.
• Maintain, track and communicate updates of all completed Core Service Standard and Task training within the department.
• Provide support in training to all housekeeping staff such as proper delivery and role playing of the core service standard and task training.
• Conduct performance observation with emphasis on the weekly task training and core service standard.
• Generate statistical reports and performance analysis on the development of each training program implemented. Coordinate progress with Supervisors.
• Conduct QC and visual inspections on all employees and report finding at monthly meetings.
• Monitor and reinforce new hire employees' training schedule.
• Organize, file and revise training materials.
• Update new hire orientation forms.
•  Report all needed repairs and prepares service call requests for maintenance.
• Performs all other job related duties as assigned.
• Hold staff accountable to the yearly requirements and regulatory compliance and expectations
• Facilitate a yearly trainer fair for all staff

Education High School Diploma - or equivalent Additional Requirements

Additional Minimum Requirements:
• At least 1 year of housekeeping supervisory experience.
• At least 3 – 5 years housekeeping experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
• Ability to deal and interact with leadership, employees, and guests in an effective and diplomatic manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, effective listening, strong judgment skills and basic math skills.
• Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment and supplies, implementation and reinforcement of policies and procedures with regards to safety guidelines.
• Possess physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure and meeting deadlines with multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to accuracy and detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

What You Will Do:
