Job Summary

Implements personal exercise orientation process, prescribes individualized member fitness programs, personal interaction with members on the floor, supervises the safety of members using the facility and the equipment. The Conditioning Specialist will be involved in both the development and the implementation of various club sponsored program offerings, follow up reports on equipment maintenance,customer service and goal setting for members and maintaining a high level of member satisfaction. Participates in proactive manner in overall operations of the Life Center. Participates as a Life Center Team Member. Conditioning Specialist may conduct one on one personal training sessions as outlined in the attached Job description supplement.

Accountabilities

• Supervises the participation of club members and provides customer service on an ongoing basis 40%
• Administers the personal exercise oreintation to new club members in accordance with Life Center Policies and procedures.20%
• Provides group exercise and or instructional educational presentations as part of the Life Center and corporate out reach programs. 20%
• Participants in a proactive manner in the overall operations of the Life Center 20%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Exercise Science or Related Field

Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

Personal training and/or clinical trainer certification accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 1 year experience in the fitness industry or hospital based wellness facility preferred.
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of office equipment
• Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
