- Summary of Major Functions:
- Proficient in monitoring patients undergoing dialysis, assessing their condition and responding to emergencies.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families and the interdisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of renal anatomy and physiology, as well as the principles and practices of hemodialysis.
- Knowledge of the equipment used and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Needs the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including nephrologists and other units.
- Adherence to all policy and procedures related to dialysis and patient care.
