- Certification Details
- Current, Active, Permanent State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the NBRC.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
- American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) membership preferred.
- NRP preferred.
- Job Details
- COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required. Flu vaccination will be required October through April. Flu exemption applications must be received and approved by the hospital prior to starting.
- Anyone not vaccinated for either Flu or COVID-19 will be required to sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and must mask during the full respiratory virus season.
- This assignment may float between our three campuses: Main Campus, Avondale Campus, and Arrowhead Campus.
- Days and nights available, shift will be decided during interview.
- This position facilitates and administers respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment.
- Ensures care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department and regulatory agencies.
- Maintains all skills and knowledge sufficient to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to all ages of patients from neonate to adolescent.
- This position also participates in executing quality improvement initiatives.
- Job Requirements
- Two (2) years experience as a licensed respiratory therapist.
- Minimum of one (1) year pediatric critical care experience.
- Level III or IV NICU experience strongly preferred.
