Description

Certification Details
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be obtained through traditional AHA, employer verified.
• Instructor certifications and RQI AHA are not acceptable.
• Certificates of Completion are not acceptable for AHA certs pending e-cards.
• Various certifications preferable or required depending on the unit (i.e., ACLS for ICU, Med Surg/Tele Float, ER, and ER Holding RNs).
• Stroke CEU required annually for specific units with NIHSS counts towards the yearly requirement.

Job Details

• Work History details must be completed in entirety, i.e.. zip codes, work history gaps, etc.
• Expect 48 hour turnaround time!
• If candidate has previously worked at OHSU, recruiter MUST include this in the submission notes.
• Reference from NM/ANM from time of employment at OHSU is REQUIRED!
• ICU Travel flips will be asked their unit worked in, travel end date and comfortability working in MICU, NSICU, TSICU, CVICU. This will determine how many units orientation are needed if any.

Job Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years experience
• Work Setting Skills: Level 1 Trauma, Neuro, MICU, SICU, CVICU - 3s/4s. Strong Trauma and Neuro ICU experience required!
• Strong Cardiac background, CCRN: Highly preferred!
• ICU Skills: Neuro, Cardiac - 3s/4s
• BLS, ACLS: AHA only! RQI - Not Accepted!
• NIH
• Expiring certs will not be accepted. Please provide plan to renew in submission notes for anything expiring within 30 days.
• Two (2) manager or supervisor references from an employer within the last 12 months are required to be provided by DOC DUE DATE. (one to sub) A supervisor is considered someone who has evaluated travelers performance. Charge RN references are NOT acceptable UNLESS they supervised directly . Must select the box that says 'supervisory'

Schedule Information
• 4 Unit + virtual EPIC
• Wednesdays/Thursdays: Virtual Epic Classes
• Unit Orientations: 4, one in each unit (CVICU, MICU, TSICU, NSICU) 12 hours shift time submitted to
• Credentialing: Expect 4+ Weeks
• NO orientation reschedules! Please have candidate commit to a Tuesday start date.

Unit Specific Information
• Orientation Details: Unit Orientations for various units: CVICU, MICU, TSICU, NSICU.
• May require completion of up to 10 hours of OHSU and specialty-specific modules before being cleared to work.

Additional Details

• CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL: Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU, MICU, Cardiac ICU
• May have 1:3 staffing with acute care patients boarding in ICUs
• May float as a Helping Hands to the Adult ED on a voluntary basis
