    Certification Details
  • BLS AHA (RQI not accepted)
  • NRP
  • CCRN, PALS, and STABLE are preferred
  • COVID19 Vaccine (Dose 1 & Dose 2 if applicable) - COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended.
    Job Details
  • Travel flips will be asked their unit worked in, travel end date and comfortability working in the unit without an additional orientation. This will determine how many units orientation are needed if any.
  • Traveler must be available for any compliance needs up until their start date.
  • Facility expectation is RN picks up shifts immediately following orientation completion — please confirm candidate's commitment BEFORE subbing.
  • Preferred skills: Vents, Bubble CPAP, Trach Care.
  • Patient Age group: Neonates, Infants.
  • Special Equiptment: HFOV, Bubble CPAP, Conventional Ventilator, Therapeutic Hypothermia.
  • 48 hours review time – reviewed by the facility for approval.
  • Charting system- Epic (strong EPIC needed).
  • Scrub color- Any.
  • If the candidate has previously worked at OHSU, the recruiter please include in the submittal notes.
  • Former OHSU employees must be away from any/all OHSU facility for at least six (6) months before they may return.
  • 4+ weeks Credentialing process, orientation requested 2 weeks out!
    Job Requirements
  • BLS AHA (RQI not accepted)

  • Level 4 NICU experience (rating of 4 is required)
  • 2 years NICU experience - hard requirement
  • 2 supervisory references within the last year - (no charge nurses)

    Schedule Information
  • 12 hours shift
  • Night shift
  • NICU General/EPIC Orientation is every Tuesday (In person) and Thursday (virtual)
  • Orientation dates vary based on candidate availability and facility bandwidth
  • Rolling start dates, only 2 candidates per orientation acceptable
    Unit Specific Information
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: Surgical Patients, Tracheostomy Patients, Delivery Hospital
  • Special Equiptment: HFOV, Bubble CPAP, Conventional Ventilator, Therapeutic Hypothermia
    Additional Details
  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required. Must be presented on first day to obtain OHSU ID badge.
  • COVID19 Vaccine (Dose 1 & Dose 2 if applicable) - COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended. Personnel who are not Fully Vaccinated must comply with the requirements for unvaccinated individuals issued by the facility.
