Position Summary:
Penske Logistics is looking for a Lead Inventory Clerk to become part of an excellent team servicing Lowes in Richmond, VA. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant and outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment. This is a weekend shift.
Position: Lead Inventory Clerk
Schedule: Full time; Weekend Mid shift- Friday, Saturdays and Sundays 9AM to 9PM
Pay: $22 plus $2 shift differential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead for a small group (8-10) of hourly associates in a warehouse environment
• Monitor day to day operations for compliance to establish safety and logistics procedures.
• Resolve issues on a first line basis.
• Communicate daily work assignments to all shift associates as well as route management control compliances.
• Daily interaction with forklift drivers.
• Assist operations supervisor with daily tasks.
• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable (KPI's).
• Monitor workforce attendance.
• Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with our customer.
• Complete projects assigned by inventory supervisor daily, weekly, or monthly.
Qualifications:
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
• previous experience preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with others both through written and verbal communication.
• Read, write, understand and speak English
• Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
• Must have knowledge of computers and ability to learn WMS and various internal applications
• Must use handheld computers / scanners
• Operate various material handling equipment; occasionally moving product in warehouse
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
