- Cardiac Surgery Unit RN
- Start Date: They orient every other Monday ie 7/8, 7/22, 8/5, 8/19, 9/3 etc but need 4 weeks for compliance purposes.
- Shift: 3x12 nights
- Ratios: 1:3-4
- Years of Experience REQ: Progressive Care or Step-Down experience in an acute care facility. Experience in an acute care facility OR successful completion of an approved training course/orientation and standard competencies OR successful completion of an approved training course/orientation and standard competencies. 1 Year of Epic Experience preferred. No sheaths on this unit. Higher acuity than OHVI5-PCU. IV insertion and tele interpretation skills required.
- First-Timers Accepted: Previous travel is preferred.

- Will the clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, occasionally to OHVI5, Obs, ED holding, and MS.

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Open heart surg 24-48 hrs, transcatheter, TAVR, Mitraclip, ACS, watchman device, thoracic & vascular surg, Resp failure/disease, unstable cardiac arrythmia, CHF, acute stroke, post neuro endovascular intervention. IMCU-ETOH, hypertensive urgency requiring IV med management, DKA, Electrolyte imbalances, Bipap dependent (not expected to be intubated), Lung volume reduction Procedure (LVRP).
- Any special procedure done on the unit? Thoracentesis, emergent chest tube placement potential with LVRP.
- Common Equipment: Central lines, IJ intraducers, radial artery devices, temp pacemakers, pericardial drains.
