The heart of Paycom is the Product Department, a driving force committed to speed, precision and excellence throughout the Product Management Life Cycle. The department ensures both the structured visibility of product road maps across the business and the cultivation of customer-centric culture. Within this framework, Paycom's product solutions are organized into portfolios and groups, each comprising product leaders, managers and analysts.

The Associate Instructional Designer at Paycom will play a crucial role in ensuring learning materials created for Paycom's LMS product are both engaging and effective. This position is integral to ensuring the quality, relevance and usability of our offerings, contributing to the overall success of our business initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct quality assurance for work produced by other instructional designers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
  • Provide appropriate, actionable feedback.
  • Upload and maintain courses on Paycom's LMS product, ensuring that all content is current and accessible to learners.
  • Develop engaging and effective learning content that meet business needs, learning objectives and needs of our audience.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional design models and methodologies to create diverse learning experiences.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve instructional materials based on feedback and learning outcomes.
  • Learn and gain subject matter expertise in Paycom's LMS product.
  • Respond to stakeholder questions and provide support regarding course content and course trials.


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Journalism, English, Communication, Education or art-related preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Experience in instructional design/teaching/training

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic Project management skills
  • Superior command of the English language, including rules and usage; AP Style preferred
  • Advanced communication and editing skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
  • Developing proficiency with screen readers, accessibility remediation and accessibility standards: WCAG, Section 508
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with aggressive deadlines
