Summary of Job Description:
The Senior Accountant (A) position is responsible for worksheet preparation to assist the Manager, Accounting & Tax with tax return preparation. This position is also responsible for preparing year-end financial data to assist the Manager with investment entities tax return preparation. The Senior Accountant (A) assists the Manager in preparation of foreign tax reporting, quarterly estimated State and Federal tax payments, and the preparation of accurate and timely quarterly Cherng personal financial statements.
You'll get a chance to:
- Assist the Manager, with preparation of tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations,and personal financial statements and related documentation related to Cherng investment entities, including Form 1065 and 1120S.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
- Responsible for preparing year-end financial data and works with outside CPA for year-end investment entities (LLCs) tax return preparation.
- Assist manager in the preparation of tax return filing for cities (Louisville, City of Whitehall and City of Columbus).
- Maintain the Fixed Assets worksheet and verifies assets detail in the accounting system for CFT. Maintain the general ledger for CFT (day-to-day accounting, chart of accounts, and records.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate and timely posting to the real estate general ledger.
- Assist the Manager in preparation of foreign tax reporting for Cherng foreign investments.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly State and Federal estimated tax payments for individual and investment LLC entities.
- Responsible for reviewing monthly state sales tax return and related research for regulations and registration of new property.
- Responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely quarterly Cherng personal financial statements.
- Perform research on various accounting/tax issues and prepares proposed AJE (Adjustment to Journal Entry).
- Assist in responding to other departments and preparing accounting/tax information uponrequest.
- Responsible for activities related to accounting system, Yardi and Eton

Your background & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum five years of relevant experience
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required training
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
- If hired, successful completion of annual store training
Pay Range: P3: $90,000 - $126,500 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

ADA Statement:
While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
